How consignment works

Native Health Advisors places a curated selection of eyewear frames directly in your clinic. Your clinic doesn't pay for frames up front — you pay only as patients select and purchase them. Slow-moving styles can be rotated out and refreshed, so your board stays current without a new purchase order every time.

For clinics that have historically under-stocked their optical department because of budget uncertainty, this removes the guesswork: the inventory risk sits with us, not with your clinic's budget line.

What's typically included

  • A frame board sized to your exam room and patient traffic
  • A style mix reflecting your patient population, including pediatric and durable options
  • Simple restock and reorder process for your front desk or optical staff
  • Periodic refresh of styles based on what's actually selling
  • Coordination with your lens ordering so frames and lenses ship together when possible
Consignment vs. Purchasing Inventory

The tradeoffs, plainly.

Owning your frame inventory

You control margin on every sale and have full styling flexibility. But your clinic carries the upfront cost, the risk of slow-moving styles, and the administrative work of reordering and tracking stock.

Consignment with NHA

No upfront frame purchase. Inventory risk shifts to us. Your team focuses on patient care instead of inventory management, and the board can flex as your patient population changes.

Procurement Note

Consignment programs and the Buy Indian Act.

Because Native Health Advisors self-certifies as an Indian Economic Enterprise under 25 U.S.C. 47, consignment frame agreements can typically be structured to count toward your facility's Buy Indian Act procurement preference. Your contracting officer will still confirm the specifics for your acquisition, but we handle the vendor-side paperwork so that part of the process moves quickly.
